A search restricted to meta-analyses and systematic reviews was conducted in the PubMed database, covering the period from January 2015 to May 2023.
Results: This search uncovered one network meta-analysis, 13 meta-analyses and 2 systematic reviews regarding the effectiveness of MBCT. MBCT demonstrates additional effectiveness in preventing long-term depression relapse, addressing sleep issues in patients with depression and anxiety and providing a short-term anxiolytic effect.
Conclusions: There is insufficient evidence for the effectiveness of MBCT in treating other psychiatric
disorders. Future studies should concentrate on assessing the effectiveness of each mindfulness technique to discern their active ingredients.
}, number={Supplemental}, journal={Asian Medical Journal and Alternative Medicine}, author={Kosulwit, Lampu}, year={2023}, month={Nov.}, pages={S37-S50} }
